French Program Survey

From December 1 - 18, 2009, all Grade 1 to 8 elementary school parents are invited to participate in an on-line survey about French programs in Halton. The results of this survey will be used by the French Advisory Committee when making recommendations to improve French program delivery in Halton.

The survey will gather elementary parent feedback on both the Core French and French Immersion programs in Halton.  The results will provide information from parents of children in Grades 1-8 and will be considered in future recommendations to the Halton District School Board. The survey gathers information on possible entry points for French Immersion and Core French, possible reasons for demission from the French Immersion program, alignment of subjects across the board, delivery models (percent of time spent in target language, intensity), and school environments. In addition to elementary survey data, secondary student focus group data will also be used to inform the recommendations.

We appreciate your support of this initiative and welcome any suggestions on possible additions or modifications to improve the survey effectiveness for the future.
