Day devoted to appreciating and celebrating the important work of educational assistants in Halton
The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is proud to acknowledge EA Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, as proclaimed by the Halton District Educational Assistants Association (HDEAA). EA Appreciation Day is devoted to appreciating and celebrating educational assistants and honouring the daily impact they make on student success and well-being.
The HDSB employs more than 1,200 permanent and supply educational assistants. Guided by the values set out in the Board’s Multi-Year Plan 2016-2020, HDSB educational assistants help support students and provide interventions differentiated to each individual student’s strengths and needs.
“Educational assistants make a profound impact on the lives of many of our students and provide continuous support to students, staff, families and the entire system,” says Stuart Miller, Director of Education for the Halton District School Board. “The Halton District School Board is grateful to have dedicated educational assistants who are passionate about improving student well-being. Please join us in celebrating EA Appreciation Day by letting our educational assistants know how important they are to us.”
