Literacy and Mathematics Resources for Families
The HDSB is providing literacy and mathematics resources for families of elementary students (Kindergarten - Grade 8) and secondary students (Grades 9 - 12) to support student achievement and enhance learning at home and school. These resources include talk and play-based activities, as well as tips to provide engaging and authentic learning opportunities for students at home and in the community.
Literacy
Literacy allows us to use language and images in rich, varied forms to read, write, listen, speak, view, represent, discuss, and think critically about ideas. It is an essential tool for personal growth and to share information in order to interact with others.
