The Halton District School Board joins school boards across Ontario in celebrating Education Week from May 1-5, 2023. This year’s theme from the Ministry of Education is, Education for a Brighter Future. This year, the
HDSB will celebrate Education Week by focusing each day on one of the five areas of focus in the
2020-2024 Multi-Year Plan (MYP) to show the importance of schools, staff, families and the community working together to support the well-being and success of students.
The MYP is a strategic plan created collaboratively for the HDSB. The purpose of the MYP sets direction and prioritizes the collective actions of all stakeholders to ensure efforts of the HDSB are aligned to support the Board’s more than 65,000 students, 9,000 staff and the broader community.
On the third day of Education Week, the HDSB is sharing the ways in which students and staff take action to help create a sustainable world through the Environmental Leadership area of focus of the MYP.
