    Board Chair - Amy Collard
It’s hard to believe we have reached the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

Throughout this year, I was fortunate to visit schools and witnessed first-hand the incredible education our students have been experiencing, met with staff and saw how students have been learning and connecting in inclusive, modern and collaborative spaces, and spoke to families to hear from them what they feel is important in their child’s instruction.

Normally, we take time to talk about the many accomplishments students and staff have experienced throughout the year. What better way to do this than to have them tell us what they are most proud of accomplishing this school year.

    I can’t wait to hear.

As the Board Chair, I am ecstatic to see how our schools have continued to bring to life our 2020-2024 Multi-Year Strategic Plan. This year, students showed us from their point of view, literally, how this plan has been engaging their learning. We have been very happy with this plan and look forward to creating a new Multi-Year Plan for 2024-2028 with your input.

Curtis Ennis - Director of Education
As the Director of Education, I am delighted to hear about the wonderful accomplishments of our students and staff. I also know this is but a small sample of the numerous accomplishments so many of you across the HDSB have achieved this year. To you, I say congratulations.

Congratulations to all of our students graduating secondary school. We thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to the HDSB. We are confident that as you embark on a new and exciting journey, success and positivity will follow in whatever pathways you choose. We can’t wait to see what you do next.

To our remarkable staff, your passion, creativity and commitment have been the driving force behind our students' success. You have gone above and beyond to create a nurturing, safe and inclusive learning environment. Your hard work has no doubt made a lasting impact on the lives of our students and each other. I am truly honoured to know that HDSB students have individuals like you educating, mentoring and motivating them. For this, we can’t thank you enough.

    Board Chair - Amy Collard
To our families, thank you for your unwavering support and involvement in the education of all children. From parent and school council participation to volunteering on school field trips, your partnership has been essential to student success. Your dedication to your children's education is evident in the progress and achievements we celebrate today. We deeply appreciate your collaboration throughout the year and look forward to continuing that partnership in the next school year, and the many years beyond.

Curtis Ennis - Director of Education
We thank you all for your contributions, your support and your dedication to our school and broader communities. You have embodied the HDSB approach to learn, grow and inspire together. We wish everyone a restful and enjoyable summer break as we eagerly anticipate another fantastic year ahead.

    Amy and Curtis
We can’t wait to see you in September.
