More than 4,700 students from Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville attended Grade 12 in the Halton District School Board this year. Of all these students, many graduates are preparing to embark on a new journey at university or college in the fall.
To celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates, we’ve profiled a few of the many students from across our Board who are receiving scholarships and awards for post-secondary education this year.
The Founders’ Academic Merit Scholarship recognizes academic achievement, leadership and extracurricular activities and is awarded to a student with a minimum admissions average of 90%.
“Craig Kielburger SS has incredible teachers who guided me to be the student I am today,” says Maryam. “My teachers really wanted me to succeed which motivated me to do better.”
Maryam plans to study family community social services and social work at the University of Guelph-Humber.
We wish all our graduates success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
