Grade 8 female students from Centennial, Ethel Gardiner, Silver Creek and Stewarttown public schools took part in an event at Georgetown District HS called,
Women in Tech, on Jan. 30. It was organized by Grade 12 student Arial Gladwish.
They visited four classes and learned the value of a career in the skilled trade. Just as important, they were told gender shouldn't determine a career in skilled trades.
