At the Annual Organizational Meeting of the Halton District School Board, held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, trustees elected the Chair and Vice-Chair for the upcoming year. This is an annual process with the 11 HDSB trustees choosing from within their colleagues for these roles.
In her inaugural comments, Grebenc thanked her colleagues for their continued support and for the accomplishments of the Board during the past year, particularly during the pandemic when schools had to close from COVID-19, put protocols in place and reopen in September.
“What we have at the Halton District School Board is wonderful and special,” says Chair Grebenc. “I appreciate what each Trustee brings to the board table each week, as well as the extra time they put in to continually improve our Board. I look forward to our good work for the students of Halton moving forward through 2021.”
“In this year of profound disruption, I am honoured to support Trustees, students, staff, and the community in the role of Vice-Chair, to collectively harness this disruption to move the needle in ways that bring us closer to the school system we dream about,” says Vice-Chair Ehl Harrison.
There is a Board Meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. Following the Winter Break, the next Board of Trustees meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2020. The upcoming meeting schedule is posted at www.hdsb.ca.
