The HDSB Human Rights & Equity Advisory Committee (HREAC) is a multi-stakeholder entity with broad membership from school and board-based leadership, trustee governance, parent representation and community agencies. The Committee functions to propose and respond to human rights and equity initiatives that support the HDSB focus on student achievement and well-being.
The HDSB is looking for parent/community (individual and organizational) and HDSB staff members to help support commitments outlined in the 2020-2024 Multi-Year Plan and Human Rights Equity Action & Accountability Plan: The Way Forward. The Halton District School Board HREAC will provide input on the scope and direction of initiatives to promote human rights and equity.
Call for Membership - Expression of Interest for HREAC
The HREAC will be composed of staff and parent and community organization representatives living in or providing services to Halton children, youth and families, as well as HDSB staff representatives.
Eight parent/community members and two employees will be selected to serve as Members at Large on the HREAC. We are inviting expressions of interest until Sunday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.
