The Halton District School Board is excited to announce a new feature called Teacher Messaging, available through SchoolMessenger.
Teachers can now communicate with parents/guardians through SchoolMessenger. At the secondary level, teachers can also use the feature to communicate with their students.
With Teacher Messaging, teachers can communicate with parents/guardians and secondary students in groups or individually. Messages are sent and received through the SchoolMessenger app or website and can be one or two-way communication. Documents, images/video and audio files can be attached in messages.
This new feature provides a secure method for teacher communication with parents/guardians and secondary students.
How to use Teacher Messaging
To use this feature, you will need a SchoolMessenger account. For instructions on how to register for SchoolMessenger, please visit the Absence Reporting - SchoolMessenger page on the HDSB website. If you need to update your contact information, please contact your child’s school.
Log in to your SchoolMessenger account on the SchoolMessenger app or website go.schoolmessenger.ca. The SchoolMessenger app is accessible through the HDSB Mobile App by clicking on the “Messages and Absences” icon. Both the HDSB Mobile App and the SchoolMessenger app are available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
