Administrative Review Update
At the January 10, 2018 Board Meeting, a matrix was shared of potential next steps in response to the recommendations found in the independent review received by the Board on January 10, 2018. As outlined in the report, it was determined that these recommendations had no material effect on the deliberations of the Program and Accommodation Review Committee (PARC) or the decisions of the Board of Trustees. The procedural recommendations continue to be fully endorsed by the HDSB.
Lester B. Pearson and M.M. Robinson Student Voice Subcommittee
On March 7, 2018, students from Lester B. Pearson High School and M.M. Robinson High School provided an update at the Board Meeting. The students spoke to the work of the subcommittee, how they are working with student voice and some of the ways they are working together to build a new community for September 2018 at M.M. Transitions for Students with Special Education Needs
Staff from Lester B. Pearson and M.M. Robinson continue to work together to support transitions for all students. The Board has added a Transition Lead to M.M. Robinson’s staffing for the 2018-2019 school year to further support student transitions in the first year of integration. Joel Zinn, a current Department Head at Lester B. Pearson, will assume this important role.

Lester B. Pearson Artifacts and Memorabilia Subcommittee Update
This subcommittee has been working many hours to catalogue artifacts and memorabilia housed at Lester B. Pearson.
In determining the items for display at M.M. Robinson High School, they have asked, “What are the most important pieces to select to represent the history of Lester B. Pearson High School?”
In response to this question, the subcommittee has developed the following criteria for selection:
- Value: Tells the viewer the most information about an event/person(s)/idea in the school’s history
- Relevance: Artifact has a direct connection to the school’s history/community
- Rarity:
