The community pathway offers real-world work experience, volunteer experience and college programs designed for students who have graduated from the Community Pathways Program (CPP). Students will be supported by their Communication Centre Assistants as well as other supporting school staff including Guidance Counsellors.
The community pathway may be a great fit for students who:
- Have been identified with an intellectual exceptionality and are primarily accessing non-credit courses leading to a Certificate of Accomplishment, or in some cases, an Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) while in secondary school.

For College Opportunities - Community Integration Through Co-operative Education (CICE)
There are many college programs available for CPP graduates. They are called Community Integration Through Cooperative Education (CICE). These CICE certificate programs can be completed in two years and are designed to provide individuals with exceptionalities and other significant learning challenges the opportunity to experience college life and enhance their academic and vocational skills with modified programming and support. CICE programs will help prepare students for success in entry-level work and build independence and self-advocacy skills for their adult life.
TIP: Several Ontario colleges offer programs designed to meet the needs of our CPP graduates. Learn more about
