NOTE - There will be a small change where Milton SW #13 area will now say Hawthrone Village PS (2025-2026), Milton SE #13 PS (opens 2027).

Public Information Meeting (Livestream)
The Public Information Meeting (PIM) took place on November 4, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The BRSC presented the recommended options selected by the BRC for review and consideration to the community.
The three options presented to the community are as follows:
A “Questions Form” was made available where questions for the livestream could be submitted, Either prior to the meeting, or during the meeting. Submitted questions were read and responded to by staff during the livestream.
Public Information Feedback Form
The Boundary Review Feedback Form was open from October 29 to November 6.
The feedback was summarized and presented to the BRC on November 12, 2024. Once the feedback is gathered, the data is summarized and presented to the BRC. The BRC gives their recommended option(s) to the BRSC for consideration. The BRSC will then forward to the Director and the Senior Administrative Team the option(s) (in full or modified) for consideration. Once finalized, a recommended option will be presented to the Board of Trustees for final approval.
About the Boundary Review
At the February 7, 2024 Board meeting, HDSB Trustees approved a motion to initiate the process to review the south Milton school boundaries (ERAs 302 and 304) – Boundaries.
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Halton District School Board direct staff to complete a boundary review for ERA 302 Bristol (formerly ERA 120) and ERA 304 Boyne (Formerly ERA 127) to integrate communities to their local school, establish new boundaries for Milton SE #13 ps, and balance enrolments at established schools for both the English and French Immersion programs.
About The Review
A Boundary Review Steering Committee (BRSC) made up of trustees, senior administration, and planning staff met on May 24, 2024, to discuss what Pathway was to be undertaken, as well as confirm which schools will be part of the review, in accordance with our
Board’s policy.
It was determined that the review will follow Pathway 1: Consultation with the Community. This will require the establishment of a Boundary Review Committee (BRC), composed of up to two (2) parent representatives from each affected school and members of the BRSC, There will be at least one Public Information Meeting.
It was also confirmed that the schools to be involved in the process are as follows:

South Milton / Milton SE #13 ps FAQ
When will the south Milton / Milton SE #13 ps boundary review start?
On Feb 14, 2024, a notification was released to schools that may be potentially impacted by a boundary review approved on Feb 7, 2024. The first step will be a meeting of the Boundary Review Steering Committee (comprised of Board staff), in the spring of 2024 to confirm the schools involved and the pathway of the procedure. It is expected that public consultation will begin in the Fall of 2024 with the establishment of the Boundary Review Committee (comprised of parent representatives and Board Staff).
How do we remain informed of the boundary review status?
- Notification of Pathway and Key dates will be released through school messenger. (Timing TBD)
- Notification of request for Membership Boundary Review Committee through school messenger. (two parents/guardians per school). (Timing TBD)
- Notification of Public Information Meetings through school messenger and on the website. (Timing TBD)
- Notification of Recommendation and the Report to the Board of Trustees will be released through school messenger. (Timing TBD)
- Notification of the Board of Trustees’ Decision will be released through school messenger. (Timing TBD)
- A dedicated webpage will be updated at each step of the process.
- Updates through the student council will be encouraged.
- A dedicated email will be set up

Will current students be moved or will this just impact new students? If so when?
Yes, there is a potential that current and new students will be moved from or added to your school. When students move it occurs at the beginning of a school year. For this boundary review, it is anticipated that some of the new boundaries will become effective as early as September 2025, while others may be implemented at a later date.
